The Distribution Operations Center, LLC (DOC) is a joint venture between Providence Health & Services (PH&S), Swedish Medical Center, Multicare Health System, Central Washington and Southwest Washington Medical Centers. As the managing partner, PH&S is facilitating and implementing the start-up phase of DOC operations.
The Distribution Operations Center team is recruiting for a Contracts Administrator ? Supply Chain (Requisition #,61590 FTE 1.0, Exempt). Located in Renton, WA, this position reports to Contracts Manager, Distribution Operations Center.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Contracts Administrator will assist in the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts pertaining to procurement of supplies in the healthcare industry. This would include working with the contract through all phases until completion (pre-proposal through closeout) with a variety of suppliers.
Primary Duties? Works, under general direction from, and in working partnership with, the Contracts Manager to support program business area goals.? Works with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution.? Ensures adherence to contracts processes.? Day-to-day administration of contracts (includes dealing with pricing, terms and conditions, and reviewing subsequent contractual documents).? Review, edit, and process subcontractor contracts.? Communicate with internal stakeholders, including the Contracts Manager, to ensure that individual client needs and company goals are being addressed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:A minimum of a BA/BS degree in a technical or business related discipline or an equivalent amount of education and/or experience required.
Experience:A minimum of five (5) years of contract administration, negotiation, pricing and procurement experience.Paralegal certification is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:? Excellent written/oral communication skills and business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions.? Strong negotiation skills.? Demonstrated interpersonal skills.? Customer-focused with capability to resolve contracting issues with win-win solutions while meeting company requirements/guidelines.? Proven experience meeting internal and external deadlines.? Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
