External Description:Providence is calling a RN for Home Health.
The Registered Nurse plans, organizes, and directs home care services and is experienced in nursing with emphasis on community health education/experience. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of the patient and their families within their home setting and community. The position requires autonomy, critical thinking and the ability to make independent decisions. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Must be able to communicate effectively with all age groups and levels of professional and paraprofessional staff.
Individual must have manual dexterity to be capable of performing basic nursing techniques and practices, such as, venipuncture and sterile dressing application. Ability to lift and move patients. Bending, twisting, audio and visual acuity all required. Must be capable of accessing multi-level buildings and able to sit in a vehicle for long periods of time.
We're seeking an individual who performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission and Philosophy of our founders, the Sisters of Providence.
Position Specifics
This position is located at Providence SoundHomeCare and Hospice in Olympia, WA. This is an on call position.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licenses/Certifications:Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. Valid Washington State driver's license along with an insured, reliable vehicle, CPR certification and Mantoux testing.
Experience:A minimum of two (2) year nursing experience in an acute care or long term care setting is required, with one (1) year of home health care experience preferred. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice. Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
