Title: Clinic Billing Representative
Location: Alaska-Anchorage
Providence is calling a Clinic Billing Representative for the Providence Physician Services Organization (PSO) in Anchorage, AK.
Under supervision works with clinic staff, physicians, therapists, Patient Financial Services, patients and others to facilitate billing office functions, as well as, billing and resolution of patient and facility services.

In this position, you will:
* Be accountable for registration, insurance verification, obtaining pre-authorization, financial counseling, charge entry, timely billing, document storage and retrieval, and reviewing and recording pertinent transactions.
* Communicate daily with insurance companies, government payers, office and hospital staff, physicians, therapists, patients and others to ensure timely billing and resolution of patient accounts.
* Work closely with Clinic Billing Operations Supervisor to ensure efficiencies in billing office processes to include registration, charge processing, timely billing, daily cash deposit, transaction auditing, analyzing patient accounts to ensure payment and required contractual allowances are applied accurately, document storage and retrieval, identifying credit balances and reviewing and recording pertinent transactions
* Ensure all billing documentation required by payers, including but not limited to prior authorization, CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9 coding, provider identifications, primary and secondary insurance, patient demographics, insured identification, charges and dates of service are complete and correct
* Perform follow-up with patients and third party payers to ensure timely and accurate resolution of accounts within departmental guidelines and government program regulations.
Qualifications for this position include:
* High school graduation or equivalent required.
* One year minimum medical billing experience required.
* This position requires a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
* Must possess strong communication and organizational skills to ensure that assignments are completed in a timely manner.
* Also possesses ability to maintain a professional attitude while performing multiple tasks.
* Working knowledge of billing office charge revenue cycle.
