Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Anchorage Alaska United States

Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Location: Alaska-Anchorage
Providence is calling a full time neonatal nurse practitioner for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unite (NICU) at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.

In this position, you will:
* Manage the neonatal patient case load with consultation, collaboration, and general supervision from a physician.
* Initiate and participate in assessment of the quality of care provided to perinatal patients and in the NICU Quality Assurance programs.
* Exercise independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of certain medical processes and procedures. These skills may be used in the delivery room, on transport, or with infants and pediatric patients within the hospital.
* Assist staff to identify efficient, effective use of resources and supplies in patient care.
Qualifications for this position include:
* Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Master’s degree, preferred.
* Current RN license in the State of Alaska is required.
* Must have a current Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) license in the State of Alaska upon completion of department orientation and within 90 days of hire.
* Current NCC Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner preferred at time of hire.
* Three years professional experience in a NICU clinical practice preferred.Job: Advance Practice Nursing
