Type B emergency department is only open during the ski season, which generally runs from about mid-November to early May. Compensation is fee for service; season ski pass included. Clinic treats common ski injuries, including orthopedic, head/neuro/spine, lacerations, abdominal/multiple trauma, and emergent medical conditions. Should be comfortable with the use of thrombolytics for AMI. Patient age ranges from 3 to 80 years. Need OR license, excellent musculoskeletal treatment, laceration repair, x-ray interpretation and critical care skills. ACLS, ATLS, PALS recommended.
