Providence is calling a full-time  Medical Assistant for a day shift  position at Providence PMG Medford Neurological Clinic  in Medford , OR.

In this position, you will:
* Work closely with a team of clinic staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
* Assist with exams and procedures, administering medications, and performing tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider.

Qualifications for this position include:

* High School diploma or GED.
* Some college preferred.
* Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required, and a minimum of 6 months recent experience working as a Medical Assistant preferred.
* In lieu of completing an accredited Medical Assistant program, a minimum of 1 year recent experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is required. 
* Certification through a nationally recognized Medical Assistant program such as AAMA, AMT (RMA) or NCCT preferred.
* Must have current AHA-BLS (Basic Life Support) for the Healthcare Provider.
* Experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems preferred.

* Current BLS required at time of hire. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Health Care Provider certification required within 6 months of hire.
* NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
* L&amp;D, Post Partum &amp; Newborn experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred, required for newly hired Registered Nurses as of 2018.
* STABLE course.

* Must have a minimum of five year’s experience as a Medical Technologist in a hospital setting, and have demonstrated outstanding abilities regarding application of QC, QI principles and remedial actions as relating to laboratory analyses.
* Meets CLIA personnel requirements as noted in the Federal Register, Part 493.1489.

* Registration with the American Society of Clinical pathologists or an equivalent agent strongly preferred.
