Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of physical therapy

Demonstrate proficiency in delivering care to assigned age- specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics).

Participates in related continuing education.

Function as an interdisciplinary team member.

Provide assistance to co-workers, patients, and visitors as needed.

Required qualifications for this position include:
* Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
* Current California license for Physical Therapy from the Board of California/Department of Consumer Affairs. 
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
* Current California driver license (for designated PHC employees that have driving responsibilities.  
* Knowledge of clinical interventions/equipment necessary to meet needs of patient serviced.
* Good clinical skills.
* Good communication skills.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* 
One year experience as a Physical Therapist.
* 
Past work experience in Physical Disabilities Setting.
* 
Experience in working with adolescents, adults,and geriatrics.

About the Physical Therapy Department in Seward

Serving Seward and the tourism/cruise ship industry, Providence Seward Medical Center is a collaborative effort between an Alaskan community and Providence Health System. In 1996, the City of Seward awarded Providence a long-term contract to manage and operate its municipally owned hospital and clinic.
