Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist Medsurg
Location: Oregon-Portland
Providence is calling a full-time RN- Clinical Nurse Specialist for a day shift position at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:
* Be accountable for the provision and quality of nursing services for a defined patient population, in support of Providence Health & Services System and Regional goals. This includes strategically ensuring a balance of optimal and efficient patient care; staff, patient, and physician satisfaction; and cooperative partnerships with other organizational departments and professional groups.
* Have a constant focus on patient-centeredness and staff and patient safety.
* Create and maintain standards and systems for care delivery for their defined patient population. These systems of care delivery promote evidence-based practice and are designed to support the management of productivity targets within a context of constant change in patient volumes, patient acuity, and available resources.
* Lead in patient care delivery and planning strategically, consistently supports efficient and effective patient care services, and achieves objectives for the defined patient population that support the organizational and system goals. This includes advancing the strategic vision and goals of the Oregon Nursing Center of Excellence.
* Constructively manage change and promote a team-based approach.

The requirements for this position include:
* BSN; MSN in Clinical Specialty.
* National Certification from ANA or Professional Organization in relevant field of clinical expertise strongly recommended.
* Current Oregon RN and CNS License.
* 6 years in nursing with experience in clinical focus area.
