Title: Nurse Practitioner Orthopedics Providence St. Vincent Medical Center
Location: Oregon-Portland
Providence is calling a part-time 24hr/wk Nurse Practitioner Orthopedics for a day shift position at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

* Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing and the interdisciplinary team to assess, treat and evaluate patient care within defined scope of practice.
* Be accountable for meeting clinical and financial outcomes for assigned patient populations with an appropriate length of stay, effective use of resources and within established quality standards. T
* Report to the sponsoring physician within the Orthopedics Department who provides medical oversight, to the Orthopedic Unit Nurse Manager who provides nursing oversight and to the Assistant Administrator Orthopedics and Rehab Services who provides program oversight.
* Not participate in the MD call schedule or rotations.

Qualifications for this position include:

* A Masters Degree in Nursing required.
* Completion of Continuing Education requirements for licensure within the previous 3 years.
* A current State of Oregon RN and Nurse Practitioner licensure in expanded specialty role.
* Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner.
* Satisfactory completion of Nurse Practitioner Program specific to the expanded specialty role.
* A current National Certification in expanded specialty role preferred.
* A current prescriptive privileges with State of Oregon, including current DEA certificate.
* Within the previous 3 years, have a minimum of 1500 hours of practice following completion of training within the Nurse Practitioner's area of expertise.
* Prior experience as NP required; FNP preferred. Current BLS. PHS NP privileging as an independent practitioner within 6 months of hire.
