Title: RN-Charge Nurse/Outpatient Eye SurgeryCenter
Location: Oregon-Portland
Providence is calling an full-time RN-Charge Contract for a day position at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland , OR.

In this position, you will:

* Provide leadership for the unit team.
* Create a climate of trust and empowerment within the team.
* Coach the team by identifying strengths and learning needs providing encouragement motivation and confidence building.
* Provide leadership through collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
* Focus on quality and safety in patient care and staff performance including participation in the evaluation process.
* Collaborate with the manager on a regular basis regarding activities on the assigned shift which may include self-directed work teams.
* Collaborate with the Clinical Development Specialist on a regular basis regarding staff development and competencies.
* Model the philosophy of the Department of Nursing, the goals of the institution and the mission and core values of Providence Health and Services.
* Perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.

Qualifications for this position include:
* BSN preparation preferred.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Minimum of 3 years staff nurse experience required, 5 years preferred.
