Title: RN Emergency Department Traveler
Location: Oregon-Portland

Providence is calling a full-time, RN Emergency Traveler for a rotating/variable shift position at Providence in various Providence hospital location in Oregon .

In this position, you will:

* Provide and supervise professional, independent nursing care for Providence patients that are as evidence-based as possible.
* Provide care which is based on the nursing process and is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act.
* Apply knowledge of assessing, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching and supervising professional nursing care delivery that promotes patients’ optimal health and independence.
* Be required to have a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise.
* Develop and validate knowledge and skills essential to the assigned department, patient population and/or practice area are crucial.
* Participate in and lead clinical teams and may supervise, assign or delegate to licensed practical nurses (LPN’s), certified nursing assistants (CNA’s) and other health care workers.

Qualifications for this position include:

* Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
* BSN
* Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license.
* Current BLS required at time of hire. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Health Care Provider certification required within 6 months of hire.
* ACLS certification. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing)
* CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred
* 1 year current ED (Emergency Dept) experience as an RN
* Ability to float to all acute care Providence Health System facilities in the Portland Service Area. (Optional, additional Providence facilities in Oregon).Ability to work a variety of shift lengths (4hr shifts - 12hr shifts).
* Ability to work multiple shifts as assigned to meet facility needs.
