Location: Oregon-Portland
Providence is calling a full-time Nursing Systems Coordinator for a day shift position at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. 

In this position, you will:

* Be accountable for the implementation and maintenance of information systems that will support nursing practice and clinical decision-making.
* Also support administrative and management information needs quality and research activities as well as systems which support patient management outcomes and administrative needs.
* Be accountable for facilitating and coordinating the nursing staff’s education as they relate to the utilization of these systems.
* Act as a liaison between the nursing staff Information Services administration and the system vendors to maintain communication regarding the system’s performance user needs system upgrades and functions. Provide project management leadership and support for new technology and information systems or other projects as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
* Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
* CPR certification.
* Minimum of five (5) years experience in acute care nursing with demonstrated knowledge and experience in informatics and project management.


Preferred qualifications for this position include:
*  Masters degree in an applicable specialty.

With a constant focus on patient-centeredness, and staff and patient safety, the Nursing Supervisor supports standards and systems for care delivery for their facility. These systems of care delivery promote evidence-based practice and are designed to support the management of productivity targets within a context of constant change in patient volumes, patient acuity, and available resources.
* Provide leadership that consistently supports efficient and effective patient care services, and that support the organizational and system goals. This includes advancing the strategic vision and goals of the Oregon Nursing Center of Excellence. Constructively manages change and promotes a team-based approach.
Required qualifications for this position include:

* BSN.
* Current Oregon RN license.
* BLS Healthcare Provider.
* 6 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles.


Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* MSN or Master's in related field preferred.

In this position, you will:
* Be responsible for coordination, collection and delivery of clinical data and pertinent information to sponsors.
* Manage and coordinate research projects by meeting with sponsors, clients and principal investigators.
* Establish research plans, project timetables, negotiate budgets and coordinate resources to ensure timely project completion.
* Act as liaison to IRB.
* Communicate frequently regarding progress on ongoing projects, and provide written documentation upon project completion.
* Perform all duties in a manner, which promotes team communication and reflects the Providence Health System mission and philosophy. 
Qualifications for this position include:
* 
Bachelor degree and 2-3 years research work experience; or Associate Degree or equivalent experience with 4 years research work experience or equivalent.
* 
ACRP or SOCRA certification or equivalent required.
* 
Minimum 2 years experience as a Clinical Research professional, supporting all aspects of clinical research.
* 
Knowledge of research methods, good clinical practice (GCP), biostatistics and scientific publication processes.
* 
Excellent computer skills, including word processing, and spreadsheet analysis.
* 
Familiarity with HIPAA, Human Subjects Protections regulations and GCP/ICH guidelines.
* 
Strong experience with audit facilitation; demonstrated effectiveness in resolving research issues of varying complexity.

In this position, you will:

* Work closely with the Executive Director, PBI and the PBI RN Program Developer to implement and maintain a formal spine program focused on appropriate indications and patient outcomes.
* Work with Program physicians to triage patients based on acute and chronic back pain symptoms to the appropriate care provider using established protocols and treatment processes.
* Work with Program physicians &amp; care teams to ensure appropriate data collection and implementation of tracking tools for both spine and cranial outcomes and procedural indications.
* Provide patient education and care management is a key responsibility and will be coordinated with all Providence stakeholders.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Current Oregon RN license.
* 5 years nursing experience preferred, with a minimum of 3 years required which includes experience working with patients with neurological conditions and/or other chronic conditions.
* Experience working with patient families &amp; caregivers.
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.


Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* American Association of Neuroscience Nursing membership and certification preferred.
