Title: Medical Records Clerk - Seward

Providence is calling a medical records clerk for the Medical Records Department at Providence Seward Medical Center in Seward, AK.

In this position, you will:
* Maintain an orderly file system within the medical record and in the medical records file room.
* Be responsible for locating charts for all patients as needed by the medical staff for regularly scheduled patients, walk-in patients, phone messages and for all other requests made by clinical staff.
* Maintain the new patient log books and ensure the collection and re-shelving of medical charts from the clinical areas.
* File loose papers into patient medical records using established chart order and maintain the physical integrity of the chart repairs.
* Answer all incoming phone calls for the medical records department for release of information, etc.
* Ensure that accurate, timely and complete medical information is available within the medical records.
Qualifications for this position include:
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Minimum of six months clerical and/or receptionist experience.
* Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
