Providence is calling a ICU Manager to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance in Torrance, CA.

We are seeking a ICU Manager that will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and providing high quality of care our ICU. Our ICU offers a physically beautiful work environment that has 28 beds of which 24 are private rooms. There are two large bay rooms with four bed total that are primarily used for the admission and recovery of immediate post open heart patients.

In this position you will:
* Implement and maintain established department, unit, administrative, and clinical policies/procedures for patient care, safety, and infection control
* Be accountable and responsible for the management for the 24 hour operation of the ICU
* Primary responsibilities include: Planning, organizing, directing and supporting unit activities and staff to assure that resources are available for the efficient, cost effective operation of the ICU
* Participates in planning work of the ICU through coordination of activities with other patient care units and related departments.
* Responsible for the professional growth of the staff through participation in guidance and educational programs.
* Promotes and supports a collaborative team approach in providing care to the patient population served in the ICU

Required qualifications for this position include:
* Current California RN License
* Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
* ACLS certification
* Experience with immediate post open heart surgical patients
* Supervisor and or manager level experience in a hospital environment
* BSN- May be in process must be continually verified
* Supervisor and or Manager level experience in a hospital environment
* Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
* Proven leadership ability and hospital operational expertise
* Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
* Strong knowledge base or experience in specialty areas assigned

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* MSN
* 3 years of progressive management experience, with a mininium of 3yrs of Supervisor and or Manager level experience in a hospital environment
* Business Development/Management preferred
