Title: Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor
Location: California-Torrance
Providence is calling a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Supervisor to Providence Little Comapany of Mary Medical Center Torrance in Torrance CA.
We are seeking an RN Clinical Supervisor for our L&D unit.

In this position you will:
* The Clinical Nurse Supervisor position is a full time twelve shift position for the Labor & Delivery unit. It requires 80 hours every two weeks in a non-exempt position. The usual schedule is 3 twelve hour shifts per week with weekly 4 hours of management time.
* The Clinical Supervisor is a licensed professional nurse responsible for maintaining standards of professional ethical practice in accordance with the regulatory agencies and the California Nurse Practice Act.
* In coordination with the Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily workflow, staffing, orientation, training and development of employees.
* Promotes a collaborative team approach and acts as a liaison for the unit. Promotes harmonious relationships and a favorable attitudes.
* Provides physicians, families, college affiliates and other departments with direction or assistance.
* Supports hospital policies and philosophy, Mission and Core Values. Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, honesty, politeness and accountability.
* Communicates effectively.
* Creates an environment of safe patient care delivery. Uses the nursing process of assessment, problem identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
* Ensures compliance of plan of care.
* Collaborates with all other hospital management personnel in absence of the Manager.
* Participates in interviewing, selecting, training, developing, performance evaluations and disciplining department staff.
* Supervises self-scheduling of staff.
* Provides input into department policies and procedures.
* Acts as a resource.
* Attends and participates in meetings/committees.
* Assists in controlling costs and has input into annual budget development.

Required qualifications for this position include:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or BSN in progress
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in state of California
• Minimum 3-years RN experience in acute L&D
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart
Association
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
• Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) course

The Women’s Health Department recognizes that services are best performed through inter-disciplinary collaboration with active family participation. The unit has 22 LDR rooms, deliver approximately 3000 babies annually and also attend to high-risk antepartum Moms.
