Title: Registered Nurse Endoscopy Lab
Location: California-Torrance

Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance in Torrance, CA.

We are seeking a Staff Registered Nurse for our GI Lab unit.

In this position you will:
* Implement and maintain established department, unit, administrative, and clinical policies/procedures for patient care, safety, and infection control.
* Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment with attention to each patient's physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
* Collaborate and communicate with other personnel to maintain good employee relations, meet interdepartmental objectives, and optimize patient care.
* Provide direction to team members to coordinate care of assigned patients and problem-solve patient care issues during the shift.

Required qualifications for this position include:
* Current California RN License
* Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
* Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
* One year experience as an RN in GI Lab.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* BSN

The GI Lab sees approximately 5,500 patients annually, both inpatients and outpatients. The procedures performed include GT placements, EGD, Colonoscopies, PEG placements, ERCP, EUS, small bowel studies, PH monitoring and dilatations. Procedures are done in the GI Lab Monday-Friday from 7:30a to 4:00p, and at bedside on weekends and after hours. GI nurses work staggered 8-hr shifts starting from 6:30a to 8:30a, and ending from 3:00p to 5:00p. Call shifts are on rotation and they include weekdays from 5:00p until 6:30a, and weekends.
