Title: Physical Therapist
Location: Alaska-Valdez
Providence is calling a physical therapist for the Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, AK.

In this position, you will:
* Provide accurate patient evaluation and develop appropriate treatment plans as ordered by physician or other referral sources.
* Administer and reevaluate plans to help assure maximum patient benefit from the treatment program and monitor the effects of the various treatments to assure patient safety.
* Develop and maintain public relations both internally with physicians, patients, and co-workers and externally with visitors, other health care agencies and community members
* Coordinate patient treatments with other departments that impact the patient’s health care needs to ensure positive outcome of the patients’ total health care.
* Act as a provider and consultant to other health care facilities and community health organizations to facilitate department services and understanding of Rehabilitation.
* Maintain patient records to ensure patients receive accurate therapy and to assure accurate therapy charges.
* Work on specific projects and goals specified by supervisors, such as promoting physical therapy, developing new treatment programs, participating in quality management activities and maintaining regular contacts with physicians to facilitate department services.
* Implement care and services that recognize age and diversity specific need and issues of customers served.
Qualifications for this position include:
* Bachelor’s, Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
* Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Alaska
* BLS certification required.
* Experience and credentials in sub-specialty are preferred.
